This is the development of the logo for Cervezas Capitán, a craft beer brewery located in Montilla, Spain. Their name refers to a warrior, born in the area, who influenced Spanish history.

01_THE ROUGH DRAFTS
I worked in a heavily decorated armour to avoid the warrior significance the logo could have. Including a sword was important to give certain emotiveness to the image. I chose that position down, and between the hands to reflect gentleness. It also means respect, tradition and confidence.
Establishing Hierarchies
The feathers set the place where the eye starts reading the logo. It was also very important to check the lines of the armour, since they could send us out of the image. The armour was also facing problems with so many details in the reproduction and in the reduction processes.
